Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and head of a senior Pakistani parliamentary delegation, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has called on U.S. President Donald Trump to take an active role in urging India to engage in meaningful dialogue with Pakistan.
Speaking in an interview, Bilawal stated that Pakistan is open to discussing the issue of terrorism, but stressed that the Kashmir dispute must remain at the heart of any negotiations. He cautioned that India’s current approach—justifying military action in response to acts of terrorism—poses a dangerous precedent for the entire South Asian region.
Bilawal further remarked that the future of 1.7 billion people and the stability between two major nations cannot be left in the hands of unknown, non-state actors or be dictated by what he termed as India’s “new normal.”
Observers have noted that President Trump has repeatedly expressed concern over the threat of nuclear conflict and has indicated that the United States is willing to facilitate peace talks between the two countries at a neutral venue.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has accused India of intentionally disrupting regional peace through unlawful and one-sided aggression directed at Pakistan.
In an interview with a Chinese media outlet during his visit to New York, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman stated that India’s continued unprovoked violations across the border pose a serious threat to the stability of South Asia.
Emphasizing the importance of peaceful resolution, Bilawal said that lasting peace can only be achieved through constructive dialogue and diplomatic engagement. He reaffirmed that while Pakistan remains firmly dedicated to pursuing peace, it will never compromise on the protection of its national sovereignty.
