YouTuber Rajab Butt was arrested in a joint operation by the police and Wildlife Department for unlawfully possessing a lion cub and displaying firearms at his residence.
Rajab Butt, a prominent social media influencer with 1.1 million Instagram followers and 4.25 million YouTube subscribers, was arrested following a raid at his residence in the Chuhng area. The operation, conducted by local authorities, stemmed from reports of illegal wildlife possession and the unlicensed display of firearms.
During the raid, officials discovered a lion cub, reportedly gifted to Butt during his recent wedding ceremony, and an illegal firearm. Under Punjab Wildlife Department regulations, the possession of a lion cub without proper licensing is prohibited. Butt has since been taken into custody and transferred to a local police station for further investigation.
The influencer’s extravagant wedding to Emaan had already drawn significant media attention. The celebrations, which began with a vibrant Dholki and musical night in Lahore, included traditional Mehendi, Mayun, and Barat events. The star-studded festivities featured notable appearances by popular YouTubers and TikTokers.
However, the opulence of the wedding sparked online criticism, particularly after videos emerged showing large amounts of cash being thrown at the couple and guests. The controversy further escalated with Butt’s arrest, marking yet another headline-grabbing moment in his public life.
