Cristiano Ronaldo Meets UFC Fighter Shara Magomedov Ahead of Saudi Arabia MMA Event

Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo had a special meeting with UFC fighter Sharaputdin Magomedov before the highly anticipated fight night in Riyadh this Saturday. The two met at the Al-Nassr Football Club training ground in Saudi Arabia on January 29, 2025, where they shared a lighthearted moment.

Magomedov, a Russian MMA star and one of the key fighters at UFC Fight Night 250, has long admired the Portuguese football legend. A video posted on social media platform X captured the duo engaging in a playful sparring session on the training pitch, showcasing their mutual respect.

As a token of appreciation, Ronaldo gifted Magomedov a signed Al-Nassr jersey featuring his name. Known for his love of combat sports, Ronaldo will be in attendance at ANB Arena in Riyadh this Saturday to support the Dagestani fighter.

During the UFC Fight Night 250 media day, Magomedov shared details about his interaction with Ronaldo:

“I met the entire team, and I had a half-hour conversation with Cristiano Ronaldo. He is very knowledgeable about the UFC, and I could tell he follows the sport closely. He told me he will be at the fight, cheering me on. He also said I have great potential and could become a champion in the future.”

Magomedov, who boasts an undefeated record (15-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC), is set to face Michael Page from the United Kingdom in the co-main event of the evening. The fight is part of what is considered one of the most talent-packed MMA cards ever assembled in the Middle East.

Following Magomedov’s bout, the main event will feature a showdown between former two-time UFC champion Israel Adesanya of New Zealand and France’s rising star Nassourdine Imavov, making for an action-packed night of high-stakes combat.
